Jewelry Options

As of April, 2004 we carry designs in 153 canine breeds, as well as separate lines featuring wolves, horses, livestock, western and rodeo motifs, wildlife, gymnastics and religious designs. Virtually all designs are available as pins and pendants. Most can be cast as tie tacks or lapel pins, money clips or key chains, or in combination, as attractive necklaces and bracelets. Many patterns also make stunning belt buckles. Roughly half our patterns are also available in earrings. Our earrings come as either posts, ball & post, French loops (dangles) or clip-ons.

Our gold-plate is hand-applied to each piece individually and is five times the thickness found on most jewelry. This provides a durable finish that we guarantee for three years. Our guarantee also covers pin backs and bales.

Unless specified otherwise, all of our designs can be ordered as a pin, pendant or tie tack/lapel pin. Most are also available in the other options listed below. Please note that some options have limits on the size design they can accomodate. Also, please examine catalog entries closely to determine which patterns can be done as earrings.

You may order any design in Sterling Silver, Bronze, 24KT Goldplate or Solid 14 KT gold. 14KT prices are 12 times the quoted sterling price. Any pattern consisting of more than the dog or gymnast itself can also be done in silver & gold 2-tone. Option prices below do not include goldplate, which is $12 for solid goldplate and $15 for silver & gold 2-tone per figure.

Please specify in the description field which options and finishes you desire. For 2-tone pieces, it is particularly important that you specify which figure(s) are to be in gold. We are at your disposal for any questions or clarification you may require.

Our standard "Pin" has a straight pin back and rotating clasp. You should also note two marks that appear on most of our pieces. ANA is Anna's hallmark. The ".925" indicates 92.5% (sterling) silver. Polishing may partially obscure one or both marks, but they are your guarantee of Black Feather craftsmanship.

Lady Jogging Pin

Our "Lady Jogging" pin is shown here with the Golden Retriever. You may choose any trotting breed. Available as a pin only. Please add $38 to the design price.

Pendant

The bale on our standard "Pendant" has an interior diameter of 1/8". If the clasp on your favorite necklace is too large to fit through this bale, you can special order a larger size. Please remember though, that too large a bale will detract from the appearance of the piece. Another alternative would be to order one of our chains to accompany your pendant (see below).

Paw Cross Pendant

The delicate "Paw Cross Pendant" is 7/8" wide by 1 1/8" tall and displays only the small head design. Please add $35 to the price of your chosen design.

Heart Cross Pendant

The "Heart Cross Pendant" is 1" wide by 1 1/4" tall and displays the small head design. Add $35 to the design price.

Shadowbox Pin

The "Shadowbox Pin" is small but weighty and very showy. At 3/4" in diameter, this pattern was designed as an alternate showcase for many of the small heads developed for the rings. (The ACD head pictured is roughly 1/2" square). It makes as handsome a lapel pin or tie tack as it does a pin or pendant. Several 2-tone options available (see bookmarks). Zipper Pull

Our "Zipper Pull" gives more versatility to the shadowbox. Solid silver or bronze - $28, silver & bronze 2-tone - $35, silver & 24KT goldplate 2-tone - $43

Collar Charm

Our Collar Charm is designed to be mounted on your dog's collar and connects with a sturdy metal ring. While only 3/4" in diameter, the back does provide enough room to engrave a name or phone number. Solid silver or bronze - $28, silver & bronze 2-tone - $35, silver & 24KT goldplate 2-tone - $43

Chains

This handsome, medium weight chain is available in your choice of sterling silver or gold-filled (attractive gold color, 5% 12KT gold by weight). Both chains feature a sturdy lobster claw clasp and come in a standard length of 22". Their construction allows for easy shortening if you so desire.

Loop Pendant

Designs with a length (width) of 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" can be mounted on our standard "Loop Pendant". Other sizes may be special ordered. The rounded silver loop frames the design and raises it off the underlying material. This adds versatility as the piece looks a little different with each change of clothing. Add $15 to design price.

Aztec Pendant

Our textured "Aztec Pendant" is 1 1/4" in diameter and is designed to lift and highlight your choice of patterns. Add $18.

Moon Pendant

For a dressier pendant we substitute a bezel ring for the wire loop and add a shell background. Pictured here is blue pua shell over Mother of Pearl to provide a sky and snow appearance. A single color background is also available. In addition to blue and Mother of Pearl, we usually have purple, green, yellow and "gem stone". Add $55.

Heart Pendant

Many of our designs combine beautifully with these sterling hearts to produce striking pendants. We have two heart sizes (1 1/4" tall by 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall by 2" wide) to accomodate as many patterns as possible. Add $20 to the price of the pattern you choose.

Celebration Pendant

Combine a Moon Pendant with an Award Rosette to commemorate that special event! The Celebration Pendant is 2" tall by roughly 1 1/4" wide and will accommodate most designs of 1 1/8" or more across. For solid silver or bronze, add $80 to the price of your chosen pattern. Add $95 for silver & gold 2-tone.

Memorial Heart Pendant

Mount any of our head designs on this heart-shaped vial. The vial seals tightly to retain a small amount of ashes and keep a loved one close. Add $80 to the price of your chosen design.

Memorial Round Pendant

Mount any of our head designs on this round-shaped vial. Same as above, the vial seals tightly to retain a small amount of ashes and keep a loved one close. It measures approximately 7/8" by 1/2" by 1/4" wide. Add $80 to the price of your chosen design.

Medallion

For a larger and very showy pin or pendant, we can mount your design choice on a hammered sterling circle or oval (depending on pattern shape). Please specify gold design on silver background or silver on gold background. For designs of 3/4" or less, add $18 for solid silver or silver & bronze 2-tone, $35 for silver & goldplate 2-tone. For designs of 7/8" to 1 3/4", add $30/$45. For designs of 1 3/4" to 2 1/4", add $55/$70.

Charm

Our charms attach by a 1/8" split ring and can easily be moved from one bracelet to another. For charms we recommend a maximum design size of 3/4". Please note charms will be one-sided unless the pattern description in the catalog reflects a two-sided carving. No additional charge.

Pin/Pendant

Designs of 3/4" or more can be arranged as a "Pin/Pendant" combination. While this adds a lot of versatility, we caution that when worn as a pendant, the pin back may be scratchy on exposed skin. Add $5.

Lapel Pin/Tie Tack

The classic "Tie Tack or Lapel Pin", this option is also popular for hat pins. No additional charge.

Earrings

We offer six earring options for those patterns that have been carved in reverse and are therefore available as earrings (please check the catalog carefully for that information).

(a) Our standard option is a French Loop (dangle) (top left). Sterling silver loops accompany silver pieces. Goldplate earrings come with gold-filled loops. We can overlay a 24KT goldplate for individuals with allergy problems. Soft plastic "keeper" included. No additional charge for dangles.

(b) Our "Posts" (middle left) are stainless surgical steel and come with plastic keepers. To reduce allergy problems, the post and backside of the earring are not done when you select goldplated earrings. Add $5.

(c) To get a little distance between the earring and the ear lobe, we also offer a "Post & Ball" (top right). Construction as with Posts. Add $5.

(d) For those without pierced ears! Our "Post & Ball Clip-Ons" (middle right) will support many of the lighter weight patterns. Please note: We do not plate the bronze clip-on section, so people with sensitive skin may experience some irritation. There is also a slight color difference between the gold designs and the bronze ball. Of course, neither comment applies to sterling customers. Add $7.

(e) Our "Small Loops" (bottom left) are 5/8" in diameter and will hang a total length of 1 1/4" from where the wire enters the ear lobe. These are perfectly sized for our miniature trot and stack patterns and will also accomodate many of our miniature heads. Pricing for the complete set runs as follows: Solid Silver - $60, Silver & Bronze - $70, silver & Goldplate - $90.

(f) Our "Moonstone" earrings (bottom right) are 3/4" in diameter and feature the same colored shell choices illustrated with our Moon Pendants. These are best combined with our miniature heads. Pricing for the complete set runs as follows: Solid Silver - $65, Silver & Bronze - $75, Silver & Goldplate - $90.

Cufflinks

We offer Cuff Links in every pattern available as earrings. You may select your Cuff Links in silver or goldplate. The backing will be sterling silver in either case. To price your Cuff Links, identify the cost of a pair of earrings and add $15.

Shadow Cufflinks

These compact yet substantial Shadowbox Cuff Links are available in any of the miniature patterns listed as ring options. Prices inclusive of little heads are:

Silver & Bronze 2-tone - $70
Silver & goldplate 2-tone - $80
